Tiny Haul ft Jordana, Wet n Wild, and Cover Girl

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog.  I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

Hey Everyone!  It is nice to be back after a crazy time during my accelerated biology class.  But now that that has calmed down, I am glad to be back again and in full force!  Today's post is on a small haul I did a few days ago from some of my favorite brands.  With school taking up most of my time and finances, I have become somewhat of a bargain beauty and it has been nice scouring the drugstores for quality items at awesome prices.  Let's see what I picked up :)

Wet n Wild Fergie shadow primer / Coverall face powder
From Wet n Wild, I picked up two back up items that I will HAVE to review for you as they are now holy grails.  Wet n Wild partnered up with artist Fergie, and she came out with an exceptional collection that includes this amazing primer, Take on the Day shadow primer.  This retails for under $5 USD, but have seen it go on sale many times (plus, if you buy at Walgreen's or Rite-Aid, there are usually coupons).  Next is the Coverall face powder which retails for under $3 USD.  For a latina like me, it was nice to see a powder range with colors that were friendly for my coloring!

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last eyeshadow pencil
As far as my shopping experience in brick and mortar stores, I have only found Jordana in Walgreens in my area.  I was able to snag two of the 12 HR Made to Last eyeshadow pencils.  I believe Milani has similar pencils, but these were found to be a bit cheaper.  Both pencils ran me just under $8 USD.  From first swipe, these were incredible!  Still testing out wear with these bad boys and a review is in the works.

Cover Girl Smoochies lipbalm
I am a lip product addict.  I know it, everyone knows it.  I cannot stop myself from buying more lip products.  I picked this up as I was a huge fan of Lipslicks years ago, and this seems like an updated version of those.  This is a really fun, bright red color.  For a quick pick me up with not a lot of fuss, these are perfect.  I have found that Cover Girl regularly goes on sale.  I purchased this for around $6.50 USD.  All products above purchased at Walgreen's.

I have tried all of these products and am in the midst of finishing use trials and getting reviews out to you all very soon!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tiny Purchase 08/07/12 feat. Besame Cosmetics

Hey there!  I am here with another Tiny Purchase...this time featuring a lovely company by the name of Besame Cosmetics.

Besame - Crimson Cream Rouge/Brightening Violet Powder
Here is a swatch of the Crimson Cream Rouge for you...

Swatch - Crimson Cream Rouge - Direct Sunlight
The rouge comes in a beautiful red metal tin (net weight .26 oz/7.50 g).  The cover has some relief on it that is gold.  This huge tin is filled to the top with a delightful cream that is red with hints of deep pink on me.
I have tried it on both lips and cheeks and it lasts.  Very nice and bright, and easily blends into skin/lips.  Price is $22.00 USD.

The brightening violet powder comes in a plastic screw top package (net weight .21 oz/6g).  It is a sifter type package with a flip top lid that keeps the powder from sifting through the holes.  This powder is violet colored but does not leave a color on skin.  My powder came really chunky, almost felt wet.  I have yet to find a brush that blends it well on my skin, but when I do, I will have a review on it.  This powder has the most delightful scent...almost like a Chowards Violet candy does.  Those that do not like scented products or are allergic may not want to pick this up.  Price is $22.00 USD.

There is one very important thing I need to tell you about this company...they have FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!  Some of the best customer service I have worked with in a long time.  I had an issue with the above package being mailed to me.  I contacted CS about the issue, they were very thorough in their communications with me, very patient and got my lovely package sent.  I cannot wait to purchase from the company in the future.

You can visit them at HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Small Haul 12/31/11 - 1/2/12 (drugstore)

Happy New Year ladies and Gents!!!

I did not have a lot of resolutions when it came to the beauty department.  This new job has helped me get a few things, but I have be smart with my money this time around.  One thing I will definitely be spending money on is skincare.  I am about to turn the big 30, and with this, I plan on fine tuning my skincare regimen.  More on that later, as I have a collective haul from the past few days!  These were all purchased at Walgreens and Meijer.

Meijer Facial Cleansing Cloths - These were on sale for $2.98...for 60 cloths!  They are super nice, smell really good and are nicely textured and get most makeup off with little to no effort!

Revlon Photoready Airbrush mousse makeup in 050 Medium Beige.  Have used this a few times, and must say, I love it!  Wish they had a larger color selection.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 001 Pink Truffle - Finally got my hands on the color of my dreams!  Such a lovely neutral!

L'Oreal Color Riche Balm w/SPF 15 in 818 Nourishing Nude - perfect glossy nude lips are now mine :)

Maybelline's Color Tattoo 24hr shadow in Pomegranate Punk

Jordana's Easyshine glossy lip color in 08 Sweet Strawberry - smells like my childhood, and just a nice vibrant red!

Cover Girl's BLASTflipstick in Tease - double ended with one flat shade, one shimmer topcoat!

Really in love with everything I purchased!  What have you hauled already in this new year?

Small Haul 12/27/2011 + Update

Hey all!

Am loving my new job.  There I said it.  I actually love my new job!  And there is a possibility of a promotion in a week...so that means...EPIC HAULING!

I hope everyone's holidays went well.  I went back to Indiana, did not get to stop in Michigan City (bummer, no chance to hit CCO), but had a lovely time with my family over Christmas.  We were lucky in that our region did not get a white christmas, which I was really relieved over.  It seems that over the past 5 years, me and the BF always drive through ice, ice and more ice.  Unfortunately, the visit was too short, and back to MI we came.

I have a haul from back in mid to late November that I had yet to put up.  I'm presenting this now and I hope you like!!!!

Haul time!  Estee Lauder
What I purchased was the Estee Lauder Signature silky powder blush in Peach Nuance...

EA Peach Nuance blush
I had been wanting to get my hands on this for quite sometime.  I know that this can be found at the CCO's for a lower price, but since I have not been to one in a while, I decided to bite the bullet and go.  Thank god I did as this is one fabulous blush!  Look at that ombre gradient.... :)

Next up, the oh so necessary concealer for me...

EA Double Wear Stay in Place Flawless Wear
This is one hefty concealer!  I bought this in medium, and though I think warm medium would have been perfect for the entire face, I found that medium adds a nice light around the eyes.  Yup, I use this one mainly around the eyes, and do not find this to be cakey, or hard to work with.  It is pretty strong stuff, I have to admit.

Im sure tons of you got beauty related gifts this season...what were they?

Small Haul 8/15/2011 (theBalm)

Hey there!  Just a quickie post on a small haul I was able to partake in today.  I went to my local TJ Maxx and Marshall's as there were sighting of theBalm products there.  There was a much better selection at TJ Maxx, nothing was swatched or stolen.  Marshall's on the other hand was all empty boxes.  :(

theBalm Haul!
Items were purchased by my lovely partner in crime.  Thanks to that person for getting me some pretties during my no buy!

I was able to get a Balms Away eye makeup remover

Hot Mama blush/eyeshadow

Mary Lou-Manizer

Am excited to try all of these out this week and let you guys know how I like them.  I have jury duty tomorrow :(, hopefully it does not take up my whole day and I can come back and play with my awesome goodies!

Bye!

Small Haul 7/20/2011 (sephora)

Hey all!  Just wanting to share a quick haul that I got the other day.  This all started with the Makeup Forever mini set that Sephora was giving to VIB's...if you want to learn about becoming a beauty insider or VIB, go here.

Sephora Haul!
I went in to get my staple mascara, MUFE Smokey Lash.  I also added in the Dior Addict Lip Glow :)!  The mini VIB kit contained:

  • mini smokey lash mascara
  • mini lab shine
  • mini hd powder
  • mini aqua liner
All the minis are super cute and very practical.  I was hoping the bad would have been a bit bigger, but I love it all the same.

I also had some points that I was thinking about cashing in...this is what I picked for my 500 point perk...

Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Trio including...
  • body butter
  • perfume
  • body wash
What you all been hauling?  :)

Small haul 5/20/2011

Another small haul for the week. I purchased this set as part of HSN's "Today's Special" that they had advertised.

Inside of this kit, there was a full size Bad Gal Lash, a deluxe mini of High Beam, a full size Instant Brow Pencil in Medium, and a not yet released to the public Cha Cha Tint.

This tint is beyond gorgeous. They call it a Mango colored tint, and depending on your skin tone, may or may not hold up to that description.
Cha Cha tint is very much like Posie Tint in that it is quite milky and thicker than Benetint. It is super easy to blend, but like Benetint, has a small window of blend time. On cheeks, it gives a coral-peachy-orange glow. I mean your cheeks actually look juicy. That is the best word to describe this! On lips, after two coats for me, I find that the tint actually leans a bit orange red, which is swoon worthy. It has been cloudy here, and my apartment does not get decent light, but I will try swatch this soon. I do not think any of the other swatches I have seen do it justice, but if you must see this, go to hsn.com to purchase, or www.temptalia.com for swatches. Thanks again!
