MOTD: What Im currently wearing #2 - smokey greens

I have had quite the time shopping my current stash, and as always, adding new products.  There seems to be a constant going back to trusted items and then I find myself in a rut.  One of my resolutions this year was to shop the stash more and venture out into items I have that I barely use.  Because the more I use up, the more I can get, right?  Let's get to it...

#MOTD
I am still trying to adjust the surroundings to the lighting I have, but it is a VAST improvement on what I previously had...which is why you are now starting to see these posts!  The room I currently shoot in has dark wood, dark wine walls, and stained glass windows...not exactly a beacon of light. Thinking about getting a white backdrop and switch my tabletop to white to allow for even more light!

#MOTD Smokey Greens - no flash
This greenish, goldish, brownish (thats a lot of ish) smokey eye was a achieved with a few palettes from the stash that needed more love.  No lashes were used as I am actually going to cook dinner and do some laundry after posting this!  HA!  Glamorous house chores...

Getting healthy with hyperbiotics PRO-Immune, All natural dietary supplement - review

*DISCLAIMER - Item sent by company for consideration and review.  I am not being financially compensated for my words.  All opinions are my own* *POWERED BY BRANDBACKER*

hyperbiotics Ultimate Immune System Formula
Beauty is skin deep.  When you really take the time to think about that statement, think about how right it actually is, do you like back at how you treat your body?  Your health?  Having a great base for skincare  and makeup starts on the inside.  With a good diet, vitamins and a workout regimen, you can achieve a healthier you that can clearly be seen in your skin!  I have been fortunate to try hyperbiotic's Pro-immune Advanced Immune Formula and I am really happy with what it is doing for me!  PRO-Immune can be purchased at Amazon.com HERE.  Inside of the screw top, plastic, air tight bottle, you get 60 time release tablets.

PRO-Immune is a dietary supplement/probiotic that contains bioavailable Vitamin C, Zinc, Echinacea and Epicor.  "Epicor is a fermented yeast superfood with 3 times the antioxidant power of any known fruit - it has been clinically shown to strengthen your immune system and to activate NK (natural killer) Cell activity within two hours of consumption." - hyperbiotics

Along with the amazing epicor and other natural additives, these supplements are 100% vegetarian, lactose free, gluten free, and are time release!  It is nice to know that the pill I take in the morning, is continuing to take care of me well into the day.

PRO-Immune packaging
When you are not feeling well, or even sick, it shows in the skin and face.  Your face cane become sallow, dry, and even get dark spots or patches.  The same goes for your body.  The skin on my body becomes flaky, itchy and lifeless when I am ill.  Making sure I become and stay healthy has been a priority of mine this year and I believe hyperbiotics PRO-Immune is helping me get there.

PRO-Immune Dietary Information
I just follow the direction that came with the supplements and done.  The tablets are normal sized, but not coated.  I have had no issues with swallowing them or them getting stuff in my esophagus.  When you open the bottle, there is a distinct scent, but it is not unpleasant and I have not been able to taste it either, which is a huge plus for taking pills.  I have also had no issues with the pill taste coming up soon after taking it.  It has been a pleasant regimen to be on.  Since taking PRO-Immune, I feel better and more energized.  After a healthy breakfast, I feel as if I can go longer without having to resort to coffee or an energy drink.  Also, my stomach has felt great!  There are times where I eat something I know is not good for me and since this tablet, I have had much less of that.  The biggest testament would have to be that I always get sick in the winter, especially with winter semester at school, and I have yet to get sick.  I just feel better...adding this to my vitamin schedule has been amazing. Huge plus!

MOTD: New series with my favorite products

Hey everyone! After being snowed in for a couple of days and a skin irritation that is finally starting to normalize, I got into the spirit and started playing with some of my goodies. I have been working on new lighting, and although not perfect, it is a VAST improvement from what I had. So, without further ado, here is the makeup of the day that I came up with...

MOTD - warm white light/no flash
Products used
As the past few weeks, where I live, we have gone from unseasonably warm temperatures to now an arctic plunge with numbers way below zero. That has wrecked havoc on my skin. Base makeup is not something I spend a ton of time on due to major dryness and flakiness during the winter months. But when I do, I tend to stick to the products here...

Face:
Korres Vitamin C Face Primer
Laniege BB Cushion in Medium
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Medium/Deep Matte Bronzer

Eyes:
Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather Collection in Creamy Beige
CoverGirl Bombshell Curvaceous (top lashes)
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown

Lips:
Jordana lipliner in Deep Purple
Wet n Wild lipstick in Urban Nights

MOTD with lighting and flash
So here is my finished look...very simple on the eyes and cheeks with problem skin still showing through, and the emphasis being the brows and lips.  Hope you like this.  If you want me to do more posts like this, please let me know :)

Soft hair the natural way with InstaNatural's Argan Oil Hair Mask

*DISCLAIMER - Product sent by company for purposes of testing and review.  All opinions are my own.  I am not being financially compensated for this review.* *POWERED BY BRANDBACKER*

InstaNatural Superior Hydration Argan Oil Hair Mask
I am not a hair person.  I am extremely fortunate that I come from good genes and that transferred ti my hair because I unfortunately do not take care of it that well.  After years of heat styling to tame my lion like mane, I have minimized the amount of heat styling I do and now try to look for moisturizing and restructuring treatments for my locks.  I was lucky to be able to try InstaNatural's Superior Hydration Argan Oil to see what all the hype around Argan Oil was about.  This more than generously sized tub contains 8 fl.oz/240 ml of cream conditioner at a super affordable $17.95.  You can purchase this mask through Amazon.com HERE.

InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Mask Ingredients
InstaNatural's Superior Hydration Argan Oil Hair Mask is a treatment made with the highest quality natural ingredients for hydration and reconstruction of damaged tresses.  Argan Hair Mask contains the following lovely ingredients:
Argan Oil (a major hydrator)
Japanese Green Tea
Coconut Oil
Shea Butter
Jojoba Oil
Avocado Oil
Amino Acid Complex
and more!

InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Mask
The Argan Oil Hair Mask is a treatment that can be used weekly to restore hydration to the hair and provides the user with supple, shiny, healthier hair.  The formula of various natural oils, acids and vitamins penetrate hair to deliver an intense surge of hydration.  All of these organic ingredients combined ensure that hair is healthy from the inside out!  They also work together to protect hair during heat styling.

Argan Oil Hair Mask - product

The texture of the Argan Oil Hair Mask is thick, but easy to emulsify in the hands.  Once in the hair, the mask spreads easily.  I used this mask both in the shower after shampooing my hair and after cleansing with towel dried hair.  In shower, the mask stays emollient, but does require a bit of rinsing to feel free of the mask.  When I applied it after I let it air dry a bit, the mask also dried down a bit, and required additional rinsing.  The hair is left definitely moisturized and a bit weighted.  I was surprised that after using a hair dryer, I was not left with a ton of flyaways!   The scent before you use the mask is that of a bakery confection with cinnamon!  Once mixed into the hair, it develops into a more nutty scent.  Those with allergies or sensitivities may want to test first.

A great, quick way of treating your hair to a hydration boost that is chock full of good for you ingredients???  Count me in!

You can learn more about the Argan Oil Hair Mask HERE.

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner in Deepest Black - swatch

*DISCLAIMER - Item was purchased by the passenger element blog.  All opinions are my own, I am  not being compensated for my review, nor am I affiliated with the company.*

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner - Deepest Black
I have an addiction to black liner.  When I need a smooth, long-wearing, opaque, non-tugging liner, I reach for Prestige's Total Intensity Long Lasting Intense Color eyeliner.  Whew!  That was a mouthful, but it really does well at describing the awesome deal you are getting.  The color I have, Deepest Black, was purchased at my local Ulta for $5.99 USD.  The pencil has 0.04oz/1.2g of product, surrounded by a pencil barrel that is plastic, rather than wood, and they suggest using Prestige's sharpener #6008.

Prestige Total Intensity Deepest Black liner - overcast/no flash
This liner is part of a permanent collection of 9 colors, ranging from dark, to neutral to bright.  The Total Intensity Long Wear liners are extremely creamy.  The greatest point is that they do not tug...good news for us that are no longer in our 20's and are more proactive about tugging the delicate skin around the eyes.  With its creamy texture, this smokes out really easy and even, perfect for a smoky eye or base for dark/duochrome shadow.  Deepest Black is an extremely opaque color, with no shine whatsoever.  There is a set time, but have ample to play with it.  I really appreciate how gentle this formula is on skin, but long lasting on the waterline!  Can also create really crisp lines, and even when my lids get a bit oily later in the day, have experienced no smudging.

A bargain at $5.99, go out and get this liner now!  From black to purple to turquoise, you can create all kinds of looks and textures with this powerhouse pencil.

Thanks for stopping by,

D
