The first unique feature of this serum is that it has some heft. The serum is on the thicker side, but melts into the skin beautifully. What I love is how plump my skin looks afterwards. Hyaluronic Acid Serum quickly sinks into the skin and I did not experience any film or stickiness on my face afterwards. There is a slight herbal scent that is quite apparent upon first application, but fades once serum melded with the skin. I have been left with skin that looks and feels plump, is very smooth and I cannot wait to see what this will do for my fine lines after continued use!

InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel

This is not your basic eye gel. This gel has a fantastic texture that is that of a gel and bouncy cream.
Youth Express is cooling upon application, which has helped decrease puffiness, but its thick texture helps to not only moisturize but plump up my undereye area. Once blended onto the skin, the gel never feels wet...it is almost creamy. There is a few seconds of a dry down time that this needs, but once you pass that, you have a plumped, refreshed, soft undereye area that looks more alive. This does have a slight scent, not at all chemical, but fades within seconds of application.

Another integral part of any skincare routine is a toner. For someone like me with combination/oily skin, it is essential in maintaining balance for my skin. This facial toner comes in a pump bottle and is refreshing way to start your skincare. This has a strong scent of orange zest upon application which does fade after a few seconds. Once absorbed, I was left film free and ready for my serum and moisturizer. This has been a godsend now as we are in winter. I find myself reaching for this for an extra boost under and over the rest of my skincare, as well as an additional step in my makeup application. This tones down any overly powdery look. I really like how this did not make me oily and only added a pretty, subtle glow!

Above we have a picture of my hair and its natural texture. A slight wave, with hair that was air dried with no additional product. Here is how we can turn this hair from simple to GLAM in a few easy steps...
Step 1 using Kiss InstaWave
Place a section of hair on the InstaWave curling barrel, holding it vertically
Step 2 using KISS InstaWave
Touch the curl dial in either right or left directional, and the InstaWave automatically grips hair and curls it onto the barrel, holding it in place
Step 3 using KISS InstaWave
Hold for 5-10 seconds. You can hold longer for tighter curls, less for more beach like waves. Pull the InstaWave down vertically.
AFTER - KISS InstaWave
In the picture above, on the right side, I did a tighter curl, and on the left, a softer wave. All of this was achieved by leaving the hair on the barrel for longer or shorter periods of time. You may use left and right directionals on the dial to achieve natural looking curls.

Old Factory Candle Coffee Shop Gift Set
Now that fall is starting to transition into winter, there is nothing I enjoy more than lighting a few candles around the house for added coziness. With the added factors of scent and light, you can create a warm and inviting atmosphere around your home with the help of Old Factory and their scented candle sets.
Old Factory is a company based in the United States that hand pours these lovely soy-based candles. These clean burning candles contain self-trimming wicks, premium fragrance oils and can burn for 20 hours.
The set I chose to go with was Coffee Shop, which contained Coffee Bean, Hazelnut and Chai Tea. Coffee Bean smells like freshly roasted beans. So you get a nice mix of warm coffee scent with a hint of bitter and smokiness that makes the scent a little more intriguing than that of just coffee. Chai Tea is a creamy blend of spices that is unbelievably mouthwatering and warm. Hazelnut is interesting in that it smells like a hazelnut perfume. Out of the three, it smells most of a perfume with gourmand notes. Dare I say it is almost pretty?
Old Factory Candles
For such small candles, these have a really nice throw. When combined, all three produce a veritable coffee shop in your home! The light these candles emanate is soft and small, but glowy. I have not had any issues with drowning wicks or uneven burning, which is a huge plus!!! And let us not forget that the candle jars themselves are really cute and found them to incorporate nicely to my home decor. I have thoroughly enjoyed burning them in my home and am excited to get my hands on more of the sets.

Matte, cream, pearly shimmer, etc. Best Red is a matte, but I want you to erase everything you know about mattes from your memory...here is why...
Milani Best Red - direct sunlight/flash
Best Red is a true red with subtle blue undertone to it. It goes on incredibly creamy. The lipstick has a slightly thick formula, but never feels dry on application. Once applied, it has shine that does linger for a bit, but dries down to the loveliest matte finish. This does have a rather strong scent, so those with allergies/sensitivities may want to steer clear. For me, it smells like cucumbers, and the scent does linger quite a bit. I rather like this aspect, but buyer beware.
Milani Best Red - direct sunlight/no flash
For a matte, this negated everything I had known about mattes. I never experienced dry lips while wearing this. It is so richly creamy, and proceeds to stay creamy for a good 6 hours. Though you do have a bit of shine at application time, this never affects the opacity of the product. When worn for hours, and after normal activity (talking, drinking, eating), this wore down to a really vibrant stain.
I do wish that reapplication was a bit more pretty. When I try to layer this hours later, I do get a bit of piling on the lips. But that is a small price to pay for such beautiful color and quality! Do yourself a favor and pick one of these up now.

In the above photo, I made the replenishing Tea Tree Oil Body Scrub. I had to substitute the brown sugar for salt, but it worked nicely. It moisturized without being overly oily, and gave my hands and feet a nice tingly sensation that was pleasing. Please note that when you mix the TTO with other oils, the scent, still apparent, becomes more manageable.

This scrub has been a godsend with the fall air turning dry and cold! Really moisturizing and exfoliating.

I love at home facials, and now with the TTO, I can have one that benefits my skin while I'm broken out. L'Oreal Infallible 24 HR shadow in Sulty Smoke
If you are like me, you went right out to buy any one of the L'Oreal Infallible 24HR eye shadows since they have come out. Why not? They are fantastic! One of those that is a favorite and perfect for fall is the lovely grey known as Sultry Smoke (#998). I purchased this at my local Meijer for $7.00 USD, but do note that these go on sale quite often. Sultry Smoke is one of 24 permanent shades in this range. Inside the screw top jar, there is 3.5g/0.12oz of pigment shadow.
What you get when you open the jar, is a pressed shadow, not unlike a pigment. The powder feels creamy which aides in the blendability of this product. There are several reason why the packaging and the product itself lend themselves to an awesome drugstore find!...
a) the shadow is packed in...allows for controlled application, as well as little fall out
b) the pot comes with a plastic shield that not only covers the surface area of the shadow, but helps in packing it in after you are done
c) pigment like shadow has wonderful color saturation
d) infallible 24 HR shadows come in a diverse array of colors and textures
L'Oreal Sultry Smoke 24HR Infallible shadow - direct sunlight/no flash
Sultry Smoke is a semi matte, medium grey with a touch of blue that really stands out in the swatch above. I say this is a semi matte because when you work with the product, you can actually see very teeny tiny micro shimmers scattered about the shadow. They are easier to see when the color is packed on. Once blended, the shimmers become unnoticeable . The more you layer of Sultry Smoke, the less blue it becomes...so those fearing the blue tinge, there is hope.
L'Oreal Sultry Smoke 24 HR Infallible shadow - direct sunlight/flash
I will say that for Sultry Smoke, a layered approach is best. The lighter the hand you have or the more blended you want to make it, it appears patchy, with out without primer. Big frownie face as this is really lovely when its just a wash of color. Full on layers give drama without ever being too dark. For fall eye looks, I have been pairing this with metallic chocolate browns, matte and shimmery berries, as well as purpley pinks!
This is my third of the 24 hour Infallibles and am working my way to getting many more!

NYX Butter Lipstick - Mary Janes
NYX's Butter Lipstick in Mary Janes was purchased at my local Ulta for $5.99 USD. Mary Janes is one of 22 shades in the line. Inside of the colored tube (which not only matches the color of the bullet, but you also get a clear window to show true to color color :) ), you get 0.16oz of buttery goodness.

NYX Mary Janes Butter Lipstick
One thing I have to say right off...holy jesus these are moisturizing! The word Butter in the title does attest to the formulation and wear of these lipsticks. Butter Lipsticks have high pigmentation and wonderful slip, without being too high maintenance. For me, Mary Janes is opaque, but with the highly moisturizing formula, feels extraordinarily light! Extremely comfortable to wear, in my experience, I could go up to 5 hours of normal use (light drinking/eating) without having to reapply. It also kept my lips smooth as it wore away and did stain my lips quite a bit.

Mary Janes is a described as a true red. On my lips, and since I like to swipe my lipstick two or three times, I find that the more I layer, the darker it gets. You could definitely get this to look vampy if you wanted, and is totally appropriate for a fall red.

A deep cherry shade, I love that this does not lean towards any side too much! Let me touch again on formula...it is moisturizing and it does leave for such wonderful slip on the lips, but it did grab on to a few of my dry patches. Though I will also state that I generally do not pre-moisturize my lips and on most days, do not have texture problems with application.
For the price, formula, wear and color selection...this is sooo on the money!
