Wet n Wild I'm Seeing Triples LE palette - natural lighting/no flash
For today, I have for you another of Wet n Wild's limited edition Pop Art Craze shadow palettes...this one in I'm Seeing Triples.  This was purchased at Walgreens for $2.99 USD.  This palette is three shadows enclosed in a clamshell, plastic casing.  You get 0.12oz/3.5g of shadow in this palette.  Aside from Walgreen's, these can also be found at K-Mart, Meijer, Wal-Mart.

WnW I'm Seeing Triple LE Trio - natural light / no flash
This trio comes marked with eyelid, crease and brow bone, but these shadows can be used everywhere.  The top green shadow is a mix of green apple and lime.  The middle blue is somewhat deceiving in the picture above.  Here it looks like a sky blue with a touch of powdery light blue mixed in.  When I swatched and wore this, especially over primer, it turns into an extremely pigmented and loud primary blue that is very beautiful.  The last color is a lovely mix of pink and purple, not violet, not magenta, not fuchsia.  I would call it a light pinky purple.

Here we have a one swipe swatch of I'm Seeing Triples.  They look almost pastel here, but what I love about these shadows is that they are extremely blendable and did not find them to be patchy.  They come off as matte, but some have the most minute touch of micro shimmer that I think may help in them coming off as smooth as they do.  All three shades had the same blendable, matte texture.  With the aid of primer, these came alive, especially the blue shade which was extremely electric.  As you can see the last shade does come off more purple on the skin once worn.

The swatches here were photographed with flash and now you can really see how that blue is more than your average matte blue.  The purple sheered out quite a bit, and even over primer, I would say that this is my least favorite shade.  The green here turns more lime and you get a subtle hint of that micro shimmer.  What I really loved was that for matte textures, these did not skip when I used them.  The blue was packed on twice to get a really vibrant color, and the same can be said for the green.  The purple took around 4 layers of pack before I could get an opaque look to the shadow.

I had quite the time purchasing these as they were sold out almost everywhere at first.  Just today, I still saw a few trios hanging out at Walgreens, so you may be lucky to find them now.  For $3, I do not think you can beat that...especially if you are a fan of blue...because you will need and love this blue!!!!!  Totally satisfied with this purchase and I cannot wait to show you the rest of the trios I have!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sonia Kashuk a kiss on the cheek lip/cheek palette
Who doesn't love a bargain?  As I wandered through my local Target, I came upon an item I had been eyeing for some time.  I was able to pick up Sonia Kashuk's A Kiss On The Cheek palette on clearance for just under $8 USD!  Sonia Kashuk cosmetics are found at Target's in the United States currently.  I am not sure if they are available in Canada yet...but I have heard rumblings that they may.

This palette comes in the newer Sonia Kashuk black, sleek packaging.  A nice sturdy plastic, it houses a mirror along with four creamy lip/cheek tints.  The palette contains 0.26oz/7.6g of product, divided into four color pots.  If you look closely in the picture, you can see four holes that would allow you to punch out the pots and possibly reuse the palette.  I was unable to punch the pots out, but think that with a heat element, I would be able to.

A kiss on the cheek palette - open
The lovely part about this palette is that the colors range from soft to bright.  The top left is a nice, soft baby pink.  Top right is a vivid coral.  Bottom left is a basic berry, and bottom right is a dusty rose.  These are sheer, but can be built up a bit.  On the cheeks, I did have a sheen that lasted awhile.  That may be something you may or may not like.  The pots are all quite emollient.  On the lips, they sheered out a bit more than on my cheek.  On my lips, when the creaminess wore off, I was left with the lightest tint.

The wear on these during the last month was not very long, but I am not one for cream products in the summer.  I think these are best suited for colder, drier months.  On lips, I did not find them to be too drying.  Those looking for a pigmented tint will be disappointed, but for those looking for a sheer wash of juicy color, these are right up your alley.  I did not find this to be fragranced or have a taste, so those that are senstitive may also like this.  A fantastic buy either way...I am looking forward to using these quite a bit now that fall is here!

Thanks for looking!

Bath and Body Works Cool Coconut lipgloss

BBW Cool Coconut lipgloss - partial sun / flash

Today's quick post is on Bath and Body Works Cool Coconut lipgloss.  As BBW always does, this was released in conjunction with their summer scents collections.  These glosses can be purchased at BBW for $10.50 USD, but can combined with the buy 2, get 1 free promotion.  The gloss comes in a plastic tube with flat, doe foot applicator.  You get .2fl.oz/6ml of gloss in this tube.

Cool Coconut is an emollient gloss chock full of glitter.  The formula base itself is a really nice, balmy gloss.  It feels very cushiony, but with the addition of the glitter, it has a slighty gritty feeling too.  The nice thing about this is that it is microfine glitter...no huge chunks of glitter ending up anywhere else!

This was the one out of the three glosses for this particular range that had the most pigmented base.  On the swatch, it reads a clear bronze, whereas on lips it reads more burnished gold that is just lovely.  I did like that the base wore nicely for around 3 hours before I had to reapply.  Once the gloss wears off, you are left with glitters.  I did not find these to be drying even when the base wore off.  Although you do get that gritty feeling from the left over glitter.

I rarely purchase any of the glosses offered by Bath and Body Works, but after this purchase, I will definitely research the colors and buy again!
