Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color in Back to the Fuchsia (923A) / I can bare It (932A) - swatches

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog.  I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

Most times, I do my homework on the items I want to purchase next.  It is rare for me to just pick up an item out of the blue...this is one of those times where I should have done my homework.

Wet n Wild Megalast Back to the Fuchsia 923A
Wet n Wild Megalast I can Bare It 932A
The Megalast Liquid Lip Colors were purchased at my local Rite-Aid for around $2.99 USD each.  Inside the tube is a two sided, flat applicator that does a decent job at spreading the product around.  In total, you get 0.23fl.oz/6.6ml of liquid lip cream.

WnW - top (i can bare it) bottom (back to the fuchsia)
Now let us get straight to the point.  The colors before I tried them are gorgeous...I mean a beautiful nude and vibrant fuchsia...I mean, do you need anything else in life?  I was so attracted to the "liquid lip color" aspect of these, as I have tried liquid lipsticks before and have been a huge fan.  These slipped on like a thick gloss, spread nicely and set.  Unfortunately, that is where the nightmare started.  The color I Can Bare It turned into a brown with yellow undertones that were not kind to my teeth.  In the tube, I Can Bare It had a microglimmer that was beautiful, but on the skin, looked more matte.  Back To The Fuchsia is an extremely vibrant, almost neon fuchsia that looks like a cream in the tube, and is definitely a cream on the lips.

Both formulas blended the same, had the same amount of glide before dry down.  I have tried both of these liquid lip colors in two ways: full on brushing of the cream onto the lips, and also using them as a "stain" with a very tiny amount blended with my finger.  When I used this full on, this is the most opaque liquid color ever on the lips!  It is as if you are brushing liquid patent leather onto your lips!!!!! Once this method as "set" the thick feeling does not disappear.  It accentuated the lines on my lips and stayed "locked" into this look.  Also, once set, I could not rub my lips together without a strong tugging.  It is a dry feeling, but once rubbed, the lips become tacky and start to get patchy.

Using this as a stain, I was able to get more comfortable wear, but not by much.  This actually does nicely as a stain if you are looking for a truly long wearing lip product.  Regardless of what method I used, this was a pain to take off.  I used an oil cleanser and makeup wipe to get the job done.  These left my lips dried out, and though I take good care of my lips with regular exfoliation and moisture, this drew any moisture I had in them out.

Top Swatch  - Back to the Fuchsia (direct sunlight/flash)
Bottom Swatch - I can Bare It (direct sunlight/flash)

Top Swatch - Back to the Fuchsia (overcast/flash)
Bottom Swatch - I can Bare It (overcast/flash)

For those that like a very long lasting lip product, this may work for you.  Those with sensitive lips or that are prone to dryness might stay away.  Glad I got to try them as I am a huge fan or Wet n Wild, unfortunately...these did not work for me.

Wet n Wild Fergie BB Cream SPF 15 / shade A104 Medium/Deep

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog. I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

Today's product comes from Wet n Wild...

WnW Fergie BB Cream in Medium/Deep

From the WnW Fergie Collection comes the Fergie 8-1 Beauty Balm in the shade Medium/Deep.  I purchased this at Wal-Mart for around $5.50 USD.  Inside the squeeze tube, you receive 1 fl. oz/30ml of liquid product.  This comes in at least 5 shades last I purchased this.

WnW Fergie BB Cream - packaging

Wet n Wild Fergie 8-1 BB Cream

Fergie's 8-1 Beauty Balm is considered an "8-1" because it supposed to be a primer, concealer, foundation, etc.  The squeeze tube you see on top is clean, easy to use and decent at controlling the amount of foundation you need.

WnW Fergie 8-1 BB / no flash, overcast light
Above : Swatch in natural light, overcast, no flash.  The BB itself is liquid, but viscous enough that it does not run quickly.  Underneath is the BB blended...thankfully, this "beauty balm" did fantastic at blending into my skin and to my coloring.

WnW Fergie BB - flash
Above: Swatch in natural light with flash.  I did not find that this flashed back on my hand, and when taking random pictures with this on my face, did not see any white casts.

There are a few things I like and dislike:

Like: Color matched me nicely, though with only 5 shades, I do not know if all will be this lucky
Was a dream to blend and layer.
Very hydrating, perfection during this harsh winter we are having.

Dislike: Only comes in a limited range
Wear is heavenly for about an hour, after that, on my combo/oily skin, I am an oil slick
Very heavily scented ( I love scented products and am not allergic to scents in makeup/skincare, but this is over the top!)
Coverage is lovely...if you have PERFECT skin...coverage is light, even with multiple layers.

Wet n Wild On Cloud Nine (384B) Trio - swatch

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog.  I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

For today, I have for you Wet n Wild's ColorIcon trio in On Cloud Nine (384B)...

Wet n Wild On Cloud Nine trio - flash
Here is On Cloud Nine, a trio of two shimmery shadows and one matte.  I was luckily able to purchase this at Walgreen's over a 40% off sale WnW they were having not too long ago.  These trios never retail over $3 USD.  Like all of the palette type makeup Wet n Wild makes, this is enclosed in a plastic, clamshell casing.  Within the palette is 0.12oz/3.5g of product.

Back of package - information
Wet n Wild On Cloud Nine trio - no flash / overcast lighting
Wet n Wild's On Cloud Nine starts with the "browbone" color which I find to be an icy, very shimmery, baby blue.  The "crease" color is a beautiful neutral brown with silver micro flecks (they usually fall out as you blend this color, and unless used on an extremely sticky base, do not show up).  The last shadow "eyelid" is again a shimmery cornflower blue.

All three shades are supremely cushiony and soft.  They are all really soft to the touch with the "crease" shade being the softest...almost crumbling at the slightest touch.  I found this lent them ease when blending.  The three shadows really did work well together, in blend and color.

WnW On Cloud Nine trio - flash
In flash, the top shade does have an air of frostiness, but never comes off looking cheap.  In this lighting, I was more a fan of the darker blue shade.

WnW On Cloud Nine trio - no flash, overcast lighting
Here, that beautiful creamy brown and darker blue are really standouts.

With a decent primer, these wore pretty uniformly and fresh for around 6 hours.  If you are not a fan of blues, that brown alone is worth making the effort to get this palette.  With how soft and blendable all of the shadows in this trio are, I can see this becoming an accent of any neutral looks you may use.  This is part of the permanent range of trios, so I do not think you will have any problems finding this!  Enjoy! xoxo

Tiny Haul ft Jordana, Wet n Wild, and Cover Girl

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog.  I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

Hey Everyone!  It is nice to be back after a crazy time during my accelerated biology class.  But now that that has calmed down, I am glad to be back again and in full force!  Today's post is on a small haul I did a few days ago from some of my favorite brands.  With school taking up most of my time and finances, I have become somewhat of a bargain beauty and it has been nice scouring the drugstores for quality items at awesome prices.  Let's see what I picked up :)

Wet n Wild Fergie shadow primer / Coverall face powder
From Wet n Wild, I picked up two back up items that I will HAVE to review for you as they are now holy grails.  Wet n Wild partnered up with artist Fergie, and she came out with an exceptional collection that includes this amazing primer, Take on the Day shadow primer.  This retails for under $5 USD, but have seen it go on sale many times (plus, if you buy at Walgreen's or Rite-Aid, there are usually coupons).  Next is the Coverall face powder which retails for under $3 USD.  For a latina like me, it was nice to see a powder range with colors that were friendly for my coloring!

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last eyeshadow pencil
As far as my shopping experience in brick and mortar stores, I have only found Jordana in Walgreens in my area.  I was able to snag two of the 12 HR Made to Last eyeshadow pencils.  I believe Milani has similar pencils, but these were found to be a bit cheaper.  Both pencils ran me just under $8 USD.  From first swipe, these were incredible!  Still testing out wear with these bad boys and a review is in the works.

Cover Girl Smoochies lipbalm
I am a lip product addict.  I know it, everyone knows it.  I cannot stop myself from buying more lip products.  I picked this up as I was a huge fan of Lipslicks years ago, and this seems like an updated version of those.  This is a really fun, bright red color.  For a quick pick me up with not a lot of fuss, these are perfect.  I have found that Cover Girl regularly goes on sale.  I purchased this for around $6.50 USD.  All products above purchased at Walgreen's.

I have tried all of these products and am in the midst of finishing use trials and getting reviews out to you all very soon!  Thanks for stopping by!

Wet n Wild ColorIcon Trio in I'm Seeing Triples (LE)

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog.  I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

Wet n Wild I'm Seeing Triples LE palette - natural lighting/no flash
For today, I have for you another of Wet n Wild's limited edition Pop Art Craze shadow palettes...this one in I'm Seeing Triples.  This was purchased at Walgreens for $2.99 USD.  This palette is three shadows enclosed in a clamshell, plastic casing.  You get 0.12oz/3.5g of shadow in this palette.  Aside from Walgreen's, these can also be found at K-Mart, Meijer, Wal-Mart.

WnW I'm Seeing Triples LE trio - ingredients list

WnW I'm Seeing Triple LE Trio - natural light / no flash
This trio comes marked with eyelid, crease and brow bone, but these shadows can be used everywhere.  The top green shadow is a mix of green apple and lime.  The middle blue is somewhat deceiving in the picture above.  Here it looks like a sky blue with a touch of powdery light blue mixed in.  When I swatched and wore this, especially over primer, it turns into an extremely pigmented and loud primary blue that is very beautiful.  The last color is a lovely mix of pink and purple, not violet, not magenta, not fuchsia.  I would call it a light pinky purple.

WnW I'm Seeing Triples swatch - natural light / no flash / no primer
Here we have a one swipe swatch of I'm Seeing Triples.  They look almost pastel here, but what I love about these shadows is that they are extremely blendable and did not find them to be patchy.  They come off as matte, but some have the most minute touch of micro shimmer that I think may help in them coming off as smooth as they do.  All three shades had the same blendable, matte texture.  With the aid of primer, these came alive, especially the blue shade which was extremely electric.  As you can see the last shade does come off more purple on the skin once worn.

WnW I'm Seeing Triples swatch - flash / no primer
The swatches here were photographed with flash and now you can really see how that blue is more than your average matte blue.  The purple sheered out quite a bit, and even over primer, I would say that this is my least favorite shade.  The green here turns more lime and you get a subtle hint of that micro shimmer.  What I really loved was that for matte textures, these did not skip when I used them.  The blue was packed on twice to get a really vibrant color, and the same can be said for the green.  The purple took around 4 layers of pack before I could get an opaque look to the shadow.

I had quite the time purchasing these as they were sold out almost everywhere at first.  Just today, I still saw a few trios hanging out at Walgreens, so you may be lucky to find them now.  For $3, I do not think you can beat that...especially if you are a fan of blue...because you will need and love this blue!!!!!  Totally satisfied with this purchase and I cannot wait to show you the rest of the trios I have!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wet n Wild ColorIcon trio in Three's A Party (LE-Summer)

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog.  I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

WetnWild Three's A Party Trio - partial sunlight / no flash
I went through quite a wild goose chase for this one.  Here I have Wet n Wild's summer, limited edition trio in Three's a Party.  I found this at Walgreen's for $2.99 USD.  Inside the plastic clam-shell case, you get three shadows for a total of 0.12oz/3.5g of product.  These were available at Rite-Aid, Walgreens, etc.

Wet n Wild Three's a Party Ingredients
WnW Three's a Party - open, partial sunlight / flash
Three's a Party consists of three matte shadows.  The "browbone" color is a stark cool white.  I usually am not a fan of white shadows as they tend to be chalky, but this white is smooth and slightly creamy, which makes application easy.   The color marked "crease"  has a slight overlay of super tiny glitters, but as you continue to use the shadow it goes away.  These glitters do not show up in the color at all during application. The crease color is a nice basic cherry red.  The color marked "eyelid" is a flat, matte black.  I found that this was the creamiest of all of the shadows.  Though creamy, it is not as opaque as I would have hoped,  but with a few swipes, was able to achieve a much richer application of the black.

WnW Three's a Party swatch - partial sunlight / no flash
These swatches were all done without a base and only 2 swipes per shadow.  Now, there may be some of you that may not like that they are not super pigmented right off the pan, but with the right base these colors JUMP!  Once set on a primer,  I found these to stay vibrant and did not crease, although your mileage may vary with the primer you use.  With these being matte, I was surprised at how easily these blended together.  Not only did I purchase this one, I got my hands on three of the other trios that will be reviewed on the blog.  I am very happy with this purchase.  It is nice to see this kind of quality from a drugstore brand.

WnW Three's a Party swatch - partial sunlight / no flash
These trios are all limited edition, but there are times when they get rereleased under different names and collections so you may be able to find them at a later time :).  Keep a watch out for Wet n Wild as they release limited edition trios and palettes consistently and they always go so fast!

Wet n Wild ColorIcon Nude Awakening Palette (limited edition)

Wet n Wild Nude Awakening Palette - direct sunlight
Don't you love it when you go scouring, store after store and score the thing you love most?  For me, it was Wet n Wild's Nude Awakening Palette (#34051).  This was released as a limited edition some time ago, but they starting to reappear in stores like Walgreen's, Meijer, etc.  The 8 pan palette was purchased for $4.99 USD, net wt. 0.3oz/8.5g.

WnW Nude Awakening Palette Ingredients - direct sunlight
WnW Nude Awakening open - direct sunlight
Nude Awakening is split in two groups if you will, with both sides labeled for what part of the eye they are for.  I do not follow this as you can use these colors where you want, how you want.  The left side of the pan are more day neutrals.  All but one of these shadows is shimmery.  The third shadow down on left side is a beautiful, creamy matte.

The right side of the palette are all nicely saturated, shimmery shadows.  These are more nighttime neutrals.  Again, you can use these colors whenever you would like!

WnW Nude Awakening palette swatches - direct sunlight
There are no color names on this palette.  From left to right:  I will describe them as best I can.
custard(satin), taupe(shimmer), camel brown(matte), dark brown with black(shimmer), bronze(metallic),mocha chocolate brown(shimmer), gunmetal(shimmer), black(silver shimmers)

Nude Awakening's shadows are soft, ultra blendable, although that black can be a bit tricky.  The pigmentation is fantastic...All of the swatches above were done without a primer.  Some of the shadows have a bit more fallout than the others, but I am willing to work with it as these shadows are really fantastic.  They have a nice wear time as well.  With primer, I can go about 7 hours before I notice any wearing or fading.

If you are a neutrals girl....I suggest running out and getting it before it goes away again :)
