Ecotools 5 piece bamboo set
Yes, you have heard it all before.  I...am a brush addict.  I cannot stop buying brushes.  Especially travel size.  I touch up a lot throughout the day and good travel brushes are essential.  Smaller brushes are not necessarily for travel.  I tend to like short handled brushes for certain makeups as they give me the feeling of better and more concise control.

Ecotools 5 piece bamboo brush set was purchased at Ulta for $10.00 USD.  Contained inside a natural fiber bag with zipper, you get:

1 small kabuki
1 short handled blending brush
1 short small foundation/concealer brush
1 short handled powder/blending brush

Bamboo  5 piece contents
The kabuki is fantastic for powder touchups throughout the day.  My one gripe about this brush is having to clean/wash it, but I am sure a ton of people also have that gripe.  The small blender is very useful for concealer but I also like it for a crease brush!  The small foundation brush is decent, I tend to use it for concealer placement around nose/mouth area.  And the prize piece is the powder brush.  Great control, can also be used for blush, blends effortlessly.

For $10, you get a pretty varied range of brushes that are soft, useful, and portable.

Ecotools Flawless Face Set brush set

*Disclaimer - Product shown was purchased by passengerelement blog.  I am in no way affiliated with this company or am being paid for my review*

One of my biggest gripes is finding decent travel size brush sets.  All I want are usuable, portable tools that WORK!  I have found that in Ecotools Flawless Face set.  I purchased this set at my local Ulta during a sale, and I was also able to use a coupon as well.  Normally, this 5 piece brush set retails for $14.99 USD.  I have seen Ecotools at Ulta, Walmart, Target, Meijer, etc, and they can always be found online.  This set contains 5 brushes for a fresh and flawless complexion...

The 5 synthetic complexion brushes contained with the Flawless Face set are:

1 flat concealer brush - rounded tip / sturdy with give

2 buffing concealer brush - flat top / soft

3 precision foundation brush - tapered top / flexible

4 complexion blending brush - rounded flat top / soft

5 full powder brush - long bristles / semi tapered but round top

All of these brushes fit perfectly in your hand and are super portable.  This set in particular does not come with a travel bag, but the package it comes in has slots where the brushes fit super snug.

There are some classic and not so classic brush shapes in this set.  I have not used them enough to know which are favorites and which are the stars of this set.  The classic shapes here really do work as multitaskers and I am still finding out ways to use the others, as the shapes lend themselves to purposes other than what they are described as.  If you are in the market for a new travel set, you may want to check them out.

Full review to come soon :)

Enough of that, let us get on to favorites.  This month, with the heat being what it was, I noticed a change in what I usually I use.  I started using a new gel liner (clinique), got my hair cut from it being down to my butt to just above my shoulders(ahhhh), and made my routine quick and summer easy.
